Job Title: Head of Group HSELocation: Central Scotland Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Benefits (Bonus, Company Car)My client is seeking an experienced Head of Group HSE to provide strategic leadership and risk management across their centralized HSSEQ function. This role is at the heart of a complex, matrix organization operating across multiple business units including Energy Solutions, Roadside Services, and Renewables. The ideal candidate will drive the development and refinement of integrated management systems (IMS) and ensure compliance with international standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.Responsibilities include:• Leading and promoting a positive HSSEQ culture in line with Safety F1rst principles.• Developing and implementing robust integrated management systems to support ISO certifications (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, etc.).• Managing internal audit and assurance programs with comprehensive reporting (monthly, board, DCC reports).• Advising senior management on HSSEQ policy, legislative changes, and risk management strategies.• Coordinating back-office systems including data, tools, and insurance management across a complex parent-child business structure.• Overseeing critical safety risks in areas such as process safety, depot networks, transportation, contractor management, and renewables projects.• Engaging with diverse stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and ensure regulatory compliance, including DGSA requirements.Requirements:• NEBOSH General Certificate or a relevant university degree.• Extensive leadership experience in a HSSEQ role within a complex, matrix organization.• Proven expertise in implementing integrated management systems, ISO certification processes, and internal audit frameworks.• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.• A collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive change effectively.Benefits:• Competitive salary of £60,000 – £70,000 (with scope to negotiate for the right candidate).• Attractive bonus package and company car.• Hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of three days per week in the office.• A unique opportunity to shape a centralized HSSEQ function within a dynamic organization operating at the forefront of the energy and renewables sectors.For further information on this role, please contact
