First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for Plant Fitters in the Falkirk region for their client who are a construction and engineering specialist.

Please Note - You will be required to work Saturday Mornings on occasion paid at x1.5.

Monday - Friday, Dayshift Role.

Salary up to £40k (Dependent on Experience)

Role:

  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, and telehandlers.
  • Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete job sheets and reports.
  • Order and replace faulty parts as needed.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all plant equipment is maintained to a high standard.
  • Conduct inspections and safety checks in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide support and advice to operators regarding equipment usage and maintenance best practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Mechanic, or similar role.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • CSCS card (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
