First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for Plant Fitters in the Falkirk region for their client who are a construction and engineering specialist.
Please Note - You will be required to work Saturday Mornings on occasion paid at x1.5.
Monday - Friday, Dayshift Role.
Salary up to £40k (Dependent on Experience)
Role:
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, and telehandlers.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete job sheets and reports.
- Order and replace faulty parts as needed.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all plant equipment is maintained to a high standard.
- Conduct inspections and safety checks in accordance with company policies.
- Provide support and advice to operators regarding equipment usage and maintenance best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Mechanic, or similar role.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- CSCS card (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
