About the Role:
A leading UK construction and infrastructure business is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to join its regional team, supporting key projects mostly in the water sector across Scotland and the North East of England. This is an exciting opportunity to shape procurement strategy, drive value, and support sustainable growth across a wide portfolio of works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activity across a variety of construction and civil engineering projects, ensuring best value and compliance with internal governance and client requirements.

  • Develop and implement category and project-specific procurement strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Support bid teams with strategic procurement input during tender stages.

  • Collaborate closely with commercial, operational, and pre-construction teams.

  • Monitor market trends and risks, ensuring procurement plans remain agile and informed.

  • Promote responsible sourcing, ethical practices, and ESG principles throughout the supply chain.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement role within construction, infrastructure, or a related sector.

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

  • Experience of NEC contracts and public sector frameworks (e.g., CCS, SCAPE) is highly desirable.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • MCIPS qualification or working toward (preferred but not essential).

  • Willingness to travel across Scotland and the North East as required is essential.
