Escape Recruitment is working exclusively with a growing and evolving business that has an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join their Supply Chain Team.

This is an all-round role and the Senior Buyer will work closely with Colleagues and Suppliers and be responsible for end-to-end purchasing from placing POs, category strategies, negotiation and Supplier management.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategy for all direct and indirect categories
  • Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business
  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
  • Source new Suppliers for products and services to minimise the Supply Chain Risk
  • Build strong collaborative working relationships with Suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance through regular reviews and proactively support any issues
  • Continuously analyse supply chain processes and identify improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

Experience and knowledge for the role:

  • Experience working in a similar Purchasing/Procurement/Buyer role within a fast-paced environment (Manufacturing, Retail or eCommerce)
  • Strong Commercial, data analysis and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communicator who can foster and build strong working relationships with Suppliers and Colleagues
  • Experienced in onboarding new Supplies and managing their relationships and performance
  • Previous experience in using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel Skills
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving business
  • Comfortable to roll sleeves up and support colleagues when needed
  • Flexible to travel occasionally to meet Suppliers
