Randstad is working to support a respite service supporting children and their families with complex learning and physical disabilities. A successful child care support worker will be responsible for:
- Working effectively as part of a team of child support workers
- Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people
- Providing personal care to children
- Administering medication
- Promoting a positive parenting role model
- Ensuring professional boundaries are in place
- Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
To be successful in your application, you will need:
- 6 months of prior experience in the UK working in a residential setting with young people aged below 16 years.
- Flexibility in the roles undertaken.
- Strong communication skills.
- Registration under the PVG scheme.
- Full driving license(Required).
- Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 and SVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable.
