People Solutions is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician for a full-time permanent position with a salary range of £28,500 to £31,500 plus a £5,800 bonus incentive.

Vehicle Technician

Hours 40 hours per week - 5 days per week - Centre closed on Sundays

Annual Salary £28,500 - £31,500 plus £5800.00 bonus incentive

Day to Day Duties

Inspecting vehicles and diagnosing any required work
Discussing required repairs with customers
Calculating the expected time and cost of vehicle work
Repairing or replacing components as required
Road testing vehicles to test repair work
Fitting and servicing vehicle accessories, including immobilisers, alarms and stereos
Performing service checks
Performing vehicle maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and air filters, as required
Cleaning and maintaining the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety

Essential Skills

Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent or time served experience
Must have a full Driving Licence with no more than 9 points
Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)

Desirable Experience

Problem solving and Quick and effective troubleshooting experience
