We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to take on the role of Lead Podiatrist within our clients team in Falmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our podiatry services, delivering high-quality care to our patients while providing strong leadership to the team.
Package:
Competitive salary of £45k-£50k per annum plus £5k discretionary bonus (flexibility for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities
- Service Delivery:Oversee the delivery of podiatry services, ensuring efficient and effective patient care. Manage a complex caseload of patients while delegating and supporting the team.
- Team Leadership:Provide clear leadership and guidance to podiatrists, foot care assistants, and administrative staff. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Service Development:Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of podiatry services, implementing best practices and innovative approaches.
- Quality Assurance:Ensure adherence to clinical governance and quality standards, participating in audits and implementing necessary improvements.
- People Management:Responsible for staff performance management, including appraisals, training, and development. Manage sickness absence and recruitment processes.
- Communication:Effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely information sharing.
Essential Criteria
- BSc (or equivalent) in Podiatry
- HCPC registration
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a podiatrist
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in managing chronic and complex wounds
- Non-medical prescriber qualification or willingness to undertake
- Clinical Educator experience
- Experience in a community setting and care homes
- Management qualifications
