Trainee Electrician

On offer is an exciting opportunity to join our client's engineering department on a full-time permanent basis. You'll be responsible for fitting and assembling electrical components and systems onboard ships, ensuring systems function with accuracy and efficiency.

Our client is based at one of the largest ship-repair facilities in the UK and provide a complete range of marine repair services thanks to their on-site engineering, electrical, paint and fabrication workshops.

Learn how to:
• Install, repair and maintain electrical systems onboard ships.
• Conduct inspections, diagnose electrical issues.
• Implement effective solutions to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems on both vessels and within the shipyard facilities.
• Read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
• Coordinate electrical work with engineers, project managers and other trades people.

The Person:
• Experience in an electrical installation or maintenance environment.
• Someone who thrives in a hands-on role and is keen to further develop their skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Motivated to develop and progress within a dynamic company.
• Committed to ensuring health and safety in your work.
• Have excellent teamwork and communication skills.

The salary advertised is a guideline for this position.

£24,999 - £25,799 + Progression + Training + Overtime + Shifts + Pension
