We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor / Engineering Supervisor / Workshop Foreman to join a marine engineering company located in Falmouth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, ideally from a Shipwright / Engineering background.
Duties and responsibilities of the Workshop Supervisor / Engineering Supervisor / Workshop Foreman
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all marine vessels and equipment
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of marine technicians and engineers
- Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets the highest quality standards
- Deal with customers to understand their needs and provide technical advice and solutions
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment histories
- Ensure compliance with all relevant documentation and certification requirements
Qualifications and requirement of the Workshop Supervisor / Engineering Supervisor / Workshop Foreman
- Level 3 NVQ minimum in marine engineering or a related field
- Leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety policies
- Must be able to travel to Falmouth
- Hold a Full UK Driver’s License
