TQR Plymouth is excited to partner with an expanding manufacturer, based in South Cornwall, renowned for its high end products to find a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a small purchasing department, ensuring efficient procurement of materials.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the companys goals and objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms and quality.
• Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Essential Requirements:

• CIPS Qualification:A Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification is mandatory.
• People Management Experience:Proven experience in managing and leading a small team.
• Manufacturing Purchasing Experience:Extensive experience in both direct and indirect purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
• ERP Systems:must be a champion of effective development and use of manufacturing ERP systems.
