You will be working for a highly reputable and professional independent accountancy practice based in Fareham as they are looking for an experienced accountant. The firm is a well-established accountancy firm, offering a variety of accountancy, audit and taxation services to its clients. Its offices are conveniently located in Fareham town centre, with the main shopping area a 5-minute walk away.

The individual will report directly to the accounts managers and will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts for a variety of clients and completing corporation tax. The role involves managing one's own workload, monitoring and liaising with clients on the progress of accounts and preparing management accounts when necessary. Additionally, the role includes providing in-house training to junior members and assisting with and completing more complex accounts and tax work (senior only). There is potential for the senior to take on a small client base of simple limited companies. Occasional support of the audit team may also be required.

The firm seeks an ACA / ACCA / AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant with at least 2 years of recent experience in an accountancy practice and ideally has had experience of managing a small portfolio of their own clients.
