A leading, privately owned SME Group has approached Venture Recruitment Partners to support them in the recruitment of a Financial Controller on an exclusive basis. Reporting to a recently appointed CFO, the role has been newly created as a result of recent and planned business growth, both organically and via acquisition.
Financial Controller – Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring efficient cash flow management.
- Prepare detailed financial analysis, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering professional development.
Financial Controller – Required
- Full qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA is essential.
- Comprehensive technical accounting experience gained either within practice or industry, with IFRS working knowledge desirable.
- Approachable and strong interpersonally.
- A proven track record in people management or the appetite to pick up those responsibilities.
