A growing UK & US-based manufacturing business is looking for an Interim Management Accountant to support its finance team during a period of transition. This role allows you to have real autonomy, overseeing payroll, ledgers, and reconciliations while working closely with key stakeholders. With a hybrid work setup and flexibility around start and finish times, it’s a great opportunity to contribute while maintaining a work-life balance.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Payroll management, handling weekly and monthly payroll
  • Sales and purchase ledger oversight, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Following up on outstanding payments and chasing debt while maintaining good relationships
  • Making sure invoices are issues and paid on time and payments are processed
  • Keeping cash flow in check with regular bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with management accounts – reporting and financial analysis
  • System uploads, managing data flow between finance systems
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Interim Management Accountant / Management Accountant / Finance Manager / Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant
  • Experience with managing payroll processes through Sage Payroll
  • A solid understanding of ledger tasks (credits, debits and reconciliations)
  • Management accounts knowledge is desirable
  • A hands-on approach – someone who’s pragmatic, diplomatic and able to adapt to change
