The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing the financial statements for their business area, working with a team of transactional staff to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting. The Management Accountant will work as part of a wider finance team to support in preparation of group consolidated accounts.

Description
The Management Accountant will:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial commentary.
- Manage and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Lead the audit process for their respective business unit.
- Monitor spend against budget and investigate any variance.
- Ensure rigorous financial controls are in place at all times.
- Support the group consolidation by providing financial data on a timely and consistent basis.
- Undertake ad hoc reporting and analysis tasks.
Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Be able to work as part of a team and work from the Whiteley office when required
