Client Details

My client is a financial services firm, with this role based in Whiteley and with 2 other offices in the UK, Guernsey, Ireland and 5 in the US.

Description

  • Prepare / initial review of bookkeeping across a complex range of funds, SPVs and associated fund structures and liaise with clients and intermediaries as necessary.
  • Review the periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions.
  • Completion of the quarterly / annual reporting pack for a portfolio of fund structures, including the completion of all aspects of accounting, including workbooks and supporting documents, preparation and reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, uploading of reporting to Investor portals, ad-hoc investor queries and liaise with clients and intermediaries as necessary.
  • Preparation of the statutory financial statements for a portfolio of Fund and SPV structures in compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Manage the year end audit process for your portfolio of clients and deal with the completion of routine audit queries and requests.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained on the accounting system (Allvue / SPV system (TBD)), investor platform and Microsoft Excel working papers for all required aspects of different significant financial statements line items.
  • Deal with the preparation and reconciliation of periodic VAT returns. (If applicable / we don't expect to have many clients with VAT obligations.)
  • Treasury management, prepare monthly payment runs and input payments into banking platforms.
  • Assist managers with the accounting of complex transactions i.e., acquisitions and disposals accounting.
  • Assist with the onboarding on new client structures including Funds and SPVs.
  • Act as a mentor to the junior staff members under the supervision of the fund accountant. Provide training, and support especially in the absence of the Director
  • Assist with company secretarial duties if required
  • Support with Ad hoc client projects

Profile

The right candidate will ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified, though finalists with the right experience will be considered.

The role would suit someone making their first move from chartered accountancy or indeed someone already within commerce and industry looking to progress their career.
