Senior Accountant – Fareham circa £50k

In line with strong and continued growth, both in the UK and overseas, our client is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their team.

Working a vibrant, fast paced environment, this Financial Services business are looking for ambitious individuals who are looking for a career path and would enjoy working in a collaborative team.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Accounting for a complex range of funds, management companies and associated fund structures and liaise with clients and intermediaries 
  • Complete all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc investor queries
  • Deal with the completion of routine audit queries
  • Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions are completed within a robust control environment
  • Act as a mentor to others in the team

About you:

A qualified candidate ACA or ACCA either from professional practice seeking a move away from audit or a commercial business where you will have held a relevant / financial accounting role.

Candidates should experience of the preparation of statutory financial statements and ideally, of reviewing statutory accounts.

Strong IT, team playing and communication skills are essential.
