Assistant Accountant at The Niche Partnership in Fareham

Are you an ambitious Assistant Accountant, looking for a full-time role in a thriving business?We have teamed up with a collaborative business services organisation, based near Whiteley, to find a talented Assistant Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a vital role for the business after a recent, successful acquisition, so it is an exciting time to join the company!As Assistant Accountant, you will start by getting involved with all things accounts payable and then build on your experience and gain exposure to various projects and all aspects of finance. You will be part of a positive and friendly culture with a company that commits to professional development. This is a full-time role, with potential scope for hybrid working with 1-2 days from home after probation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

Accounts payable – processing invoices, dealing with queries, supplier statements
Ledger posting – recording daily bank transactions in the ledgers of multiple entities
Reconciliations – reconciling transactions and balances across multiple systems
Getting involved in broader duties, such as accounts receivable – raising invoices for payment by external parties
Supporting inbound requests and queries to the finance team

What you will need:

Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Payable Clerk
Confident with Excel (lookups and pivot tables)
Working background in accounts payable
A keen learner and happy to collaborate with colleagues
