Our client, a PCB and contracted electronics manufacturer, is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join their dynamic team in Fareham. They provide high-quality electronic equipment and printed circuit board assemblies across sectors including aerospace, defence, medical, transport, automotive, education, and industrial.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Operations Manager, Production, and MPS to assist with prioritising work requiring Production Build Packs, creating new documentation as required.
  • Communicate any internal problems to the Engineering Manager and liaise with Customers on problems or process issues.
  • Manage configuration control of all supplied documents and engineering packs.
  • Ensure products manufactured by the company conform to customer approval requirements.
  • Input Bills of Materials and sign off Bills of Materials inputted on Progress Plus by other employees.
  • Ensure the process/production engineering department adds value to the business by implementing suitable tooling and improving key processes identified either internally by department members or by KPIs.
  • Ensure customer design changes are carried out at agreed implementation points.
  • Play an active role in process improvement groups to help find the root cause of faults and eliminate them.
  • Provide design for manufacture feedback to customers and prospective customers to ensure products are optimised for assembly using company processes.


Job Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in electronics or demonstratable experience and knowledge of electronic principles is essential.
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing is essential.
  • Knowledge of project planning is important.
  • Understanding of configuration control is important.

  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
  • Disciplined and controlled approach.
  • Strong eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Responsive and highly motivated, with the ability to work under own initiative to solve problems.
  • Calm and collected, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Able to motivate others to achieve objectives.
