Pricing/Business Analyst

Reed is working with a well know manufacturer in the search for a contractor who is a Pricing/Business Analyst to support the company’s commercial decision-making through insightful data analysis and modelling. This role involves close collaboration with Customer Marketing, Commercial Finance, and the Director of Sales Operations. Reporting to the Senior Pricing Manager, the successful candidate will be instrumental in developing pricing reports and models, and supporting price strategy initiatives across the Region, Global and Market levels.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategy and implementation guidance, providing accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Utilise data analytics tools to identify trends and segment performance, aiding the commercial organisation in making data-driven pricing recommendations.
  • Improve data quality and leverage it to enhance pricing reporting, modelling, analytics, and insights for informed pricing and promotions investment decisions.
  • Assist the Senior Pricing Manager in monitoring the implementation of pricing and channel strategy guidance through ad hoc reporting and initiatives.
  • Drive simplification and system optimisation for pricing management processes and practices.
  • Support Global, EMEA Regional, or local market teams on ad hoc initiatives, which may include market-level initiatives, pricing projects, or change management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Superior proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience with COGNOS, Tableau, and data visualisation software.
  • Preferred experience in Hyperion, Power BI, or similar analytic tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a pressurised and changing environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Analytics or a related field.
