We are recruiting for an experienced Facilities Supervisor to join a team based in the Whiteley area.

The overall purpose of the role is to: To manage all estate related matters at the client’s operations, ensuring complaisance with Health and Safety standards whilst supporting a safe working environment for personnel and visitors.

The areas of accountability include:

  • To pro-actively supervise health and safety, duties to include but not limited to:
  • Support regular and statutory (inc. MORI) inspections of the estates, to review standards of safety and security and provide assurance on compliance.
  • Provide timely inspection reports to the Senior Management Team and follow up where issues identified at previous inspections need actioning.
  • Implement and maintain site Fire Safety Management plans, including risk assessments, compliance with fire surveys whilst proactively testing through virtual and actual fire evacuation drills.
  • Support compliance assessments against the Health and Safety Management system to provide assurance to the Force Corporate Health and Safety Advisor that Department and Strand responsibilities are being met.
  • Administer the Accident Management System, conducting accident investigations when required, ensuring accidents are investigated and the system is up to date.
  • Co-ordinate force compliance with (and support where appropriate) DSE and physical disability assessments for those needing reasonable adjustments to their workstations/working environment and manage the follow up process for the ordering and provision of appropriate equipment.
  • Organise and deliver (if required) Health and Safety mandatory training
  • Maintaining COSHH records and ensuring adherence to the regulations

Key criteria include:

  • Experience within Facilities Management / Maintenance / Project Management
  • Supervisory experience
  • Creation and delivering managerial reports (technical / regulatory)
  • Previously held police or national security vetting

Desirable:

  • Creation and delivering of training packages

This is a temporary role, working on a full-time basis for an initial 6 months with potential for it to be extended, paying £18.41per hour PAYE.
