My client in the Fareham area is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer due to expansion.

My client  is a fast-growing and award-winning Civil Engineering,

Structural Engineering and Transport Planning consultancy. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer role to support the management of an expanding civil engineering team and oversee complex schemes across a diverse range of clients. We are involved in a multitude of projects at various stages in their project lifecycle, from appraisal through to construction, and in several different sectors, including residential, commercial, and retirement & care. Our client base ranges from local smaller scale businesses to local government, respected regional contractors, national housebuilders, and commercial developers. We are also heavily involved in Welborne Garden Village, a 6,000- home development in Hampshire, where we are responsible for providing civil engineering support for planning applications and the development of the on and off-site infrastructure designs.

Qualifications

Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) [working towards CEng] with the Institution of Civil Engineers

A degree or HND in Civil Engineering

Experience

Line management experience including undertaking of appraisals, identification of training and ensuring performance of junior team members

Team management and resource coordination experience

Experience working with local authorities, developers and architects on civil engineering aspects of a range of schemes

Varied experience working on schemes through the planning process; from pre-app through to condition discharge

Civil engineering project management experience including projects combining drainage, external works and highways elements
