Site Engineer
Location - Southampton
Rate - Competitive
Duration - 6 to 12 months rolling contract
My client is a Tier 1 contractor who are currently looking for a site engineer to work one of the major energy projects. Must have experience working with National Grid OHL projects or similar - National Grid Persons authorisations required.
Requirements:
- Initial survey and site investigation work.
- Set out for drainage, ducting, earthwork and other activities as required.
- Produce accurate and timely reports for management teams.
- To contribute to the management of the civils works.
- Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
- Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.
Responsibilities:
- Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable - one or more of: BSc, BA, BEng, Meng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech, Completion of Higher Apprenticeship.
- May be working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE or other appropriate professional body.
- Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey
- Experience in similar role.
- Familiar with Quality Management System and familiar in writing RAMS.
- Proven people and project management skills.
- Team leader with organisational skills.
