SALES ADVISOR REQUIRED:

Our client is one of the leading independent waste management companies in Southern England.

The Role:

They are looking to recruit an experienced and professional Sales Advisor based at there Head Office in Funtley, Hampshire, who has the skills and competencies to successfully secure and process orders over the telephone.

The role of Sales Advisor involves the following main key tasks:

- providing a high level of customer service over the telephone

- securing an order by converting a call into a confirmed order

- upselling products/services wherever practicably possible

- processing orders and bookings

- taking payment details and processing the payment

- dealing with customer enquiries and queries

- various general office administration duties

- supporting other members of the team.

The Ideal Candiate:

  • Excellent telephone manner - remaining friendly, polite, and professional at all times.
  • Great communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
  • Very good attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information, eg correct address, post code, contact name, contact numbers, and location details.
  • Very good sales experience with knowledge and understanding of the sales process and upselling.
  • Good organisation skills, with the ability to use own initiative.
  • Hardworking and conscientious.
  • Positive, motivated, and pro-active.
  • Reliable, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient when under pressure.
  • Ability to work within a busy and fast-paced customer focused sales environment.

Reward

  • Starting Salary £28,957 pa
  • 25 days holiday which increases to 27 after 5 years service, and 30 after 10 years service

Hours

Working hours are 9 hours each day, which includes an hour's unpaid lunch break, on varying shift patterns between 7.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm on a rota basis (usually one in nine).
