Our client based in the Fareham area is looking to recruit a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team.

Hours:

Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4.45pm and Friday 7.45am – 12.45.

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture injection mould tooling and components
  • Modify Injection mould tools, including electrode manufacture, producing job sheets and work instructions
  • CAD designing, to include from scratch models and modifying existing 3D CAD

models

  • Manufacture of jigs and fixtures to support all areas of the business
  • Online and offline CAM programming (Heidenhain & Siemens controllers)
  • 3 Axis CNC Milling
  • 5 Axis CNC Milling
  • CNC Turning
  • Manual milling and turning
  • Wire EDM
  • Take ownership of part and material ordering and processing
  • Workload management of larger scale orders
  • Undertake work in a timely fashion & to a high standard of workmanship at all times
  • Assist in team meetings and resolving issues
  • Liaise with Toolroom Supervisor regarding machining activities
  • To actively look for ways of improving machining processes, keeping up to date with current technologies
  • Awareness of and adherence to Health and Safety Regulations
  • Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others
  • Ensure and comply with the Toolroom working environment and organisation

PERSON SPECIFICATION

EDUCATION/TRAINING

Apprenticeship or time served as Machinist/Toolmaker - Desirable

HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering - Desirable

GCSE A-C in Maths & English

EXPERIENCE

Previous machining experience

Previous toolmaking experience

All workshop practices

Tool design

CAD and CAM

3 and 5 Axis VMC

Previous 3D printing experience
