About the company:
Based in Segensworth, near Fareham, this is a well-established global manufacturer specialising in complex advanced mechanical assemblies. The machining team, with nearly 30 professionals, works across lathes, milling machines, and sliding heads. Your role as a CNC Turner will focus on setting and operating lathes with FANUC controls.
Most of the work is repeatable, but with over 2,500 different parts to produce, there's plenty of variety. Occasional programming opportunities arise, too, as the team constantly seeks to improve manufacturing processes.
You'll typically work across two machines daily, setting up and keeping operations running smoothly. The team prides itself on a collaborative work ethic, supporting one another to maintain efficiency and quality.
What do you need?
- Experience working on lathes as a CNC Turner Setter/Operator.
- Programming experience (highly desirable).
- A proactive attitude, with ideas to improve operations.
- A good understanding of FANUC controls and tight tolerances.
- Reliable transport to commute to the site, especially for the late shift.
