As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for the manual lathe work of components & parts for new Aerospace projects. You will use your experience and your eye for detail to deliver high quality parts. What You'll do:
As a Manual Machinist, you will:
- Effectively demonstrate lathe machining expertise to meet business expectation
- Use your understanding of manual grinding, turning and further lathe knowledge to deliver best practice
- Manual turning of predominantly in process parts with a right first time cut
- Be working on multiple Aerospace projects and components
What We're Looking For:
- Ideally an engineering apprenticeship, BTEC, diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience with lathe work/turning.
- Ability to showcase technical understanding surrounding manual machining
- Good team player and self-motivated to work as an individual.
- High attention to detail.
- Eagerness for career progression.
What else do you need to know?
- Full training is provided at every step for the right individual
- The hours for this role are on Days (07:00-15:30 Mon-Thu, 07:00-12:30 Fri). Option for afternoon shift
- Substantial overtime available on evenings and weekends once fully trained
