Our client, a global leader in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their team in Fareham. The company specialises in the research, design, integration, manufacture, certification, and lifetime service of flight control, hydraulic, fuel and inerting, fluid conveyance, thermal management, lubrication, and pneumatic systems and components for aerospace and other high-technology markets. They support the world's aircraft and aero engine manufacturers, providing a century of experience and innovation for commercial and military aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documenting design activities and ensuring traceability of design to requirements, whilst also ensuring adherence to relevant project, company, or regulatory standards and processes
- Working collaboratively with systems, safety, software, and mechanical engineers to ensure that hardware-level requirements have been met and to overcome trade-offs or problems identified in the design
- Contributing to the development of system architectures and considering alternative concepts and trade studies to determine evidence-led preferred solutions
- Providing support to production during the introduction of new products as well as supporting component obsolescence issues
- Planning, generating, performing, and validating results of hardware verification plans and procedures
- Supporting hardware qualification activities
- Specifying, designing, commissioning, and verifying equipment test solutions to support hardware verification, qualification activities, and production
Job Requirements:
- Experience with microcontrollers, electronics design, electronics test, electronics integration, and electronics engineering
- Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or HND with significant relevant work experience
- Knowledge and experience of managing the full electronics lifecycle
- Proven experience of developing high integrity designs within a critical safety environment
- Ability to present complex engineering concepts in an understandable manner
- Willingness to engineer safety-critical products in a highly regulated industry where engineering vigour is valued
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers
- Ability to communicate well and work collaboratively with engineers across various disciplines
- Experience in documenting designs in preparation for formal qualification/certification
- Awareness of simple firmware to facilitate HW/firmware integration
- Some knowledge of lean design techniques
