Assembly and Test Inspector

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assembly and Test Inspector to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of the production process, you will be responsible for inspecting aerospace components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet rigorous quality standards and performance specifications. Your role will involve both visual and functional testing, working closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to maintain the highest levels of product integrity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace assemblies and components to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Perform functional tests and checks on completed assemblies to verify operational performance.
  • Document and report inspection results, including non-conformance issues, using industry-standard tools and software.
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment as necessary.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of inspection plans and procedures.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for identified defects or performance issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in assembly and test inspection, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement instruments.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of functional testing methods and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to document findings accurately.
  • Ability to work with a focus on quality and safety at all times.
