- Managing, mentoring and supporting the accounts payable team (of 10)
- Overseeing the payment and bookkeeping processes, ensuring invoices are paid on time, accurately and in compliance with policies
- Reviewing cashbooks, journals and payments to ensure accuracy
- Identifying and implementing improvements to systems and workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Setting and monitoring KPIs for the team, conducting appraisals and providing career development pathways
- Collaborating across teams, building trust and receiving feedback for improvements
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Payable Team Manager / AP Team Leader / Payment Team Manager / Purchase Ledger Supervisor
- Proven leadership experience with ability to set KPIs and manage team performance
- A background in improving processes and implementing operational changes
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFs.
- To be a confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
