As Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll manage a dedicated team in a growing financial services organisation, ensuring the smooth running of supplier payments and developing best practices. If you're ready to take the reins and make a real impact, this role is for you.Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing, mentoring and supporting the accounts payable team (of 10)
  • Overseeing the payment and bookkeeping processes, ensuring invoices are paid on time, accurately and in compliance with policies
  • Reviewing cashbooks, journals and payments to ensure accuracy
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to systems and workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Setting and monitoring KPIs for the team, conducting appraisals and providing career development pathways
  • Collaborating across teams, building trust and receiving feedback for improvements
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Payable Team Manager / AP Team Leader / Payment Team Manager / Purchase Ledger Supervisor
  • Proven leadership experience with ability to set KPIs and manage team performance
  • A background in improving processes and implementing operational changes
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFs.
  • To be a confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
