A well-established manufacturing business is looking for a Finance Manager to step into a varied role with broad exposure across finance. With hybrid working and flexibility around hours, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to a business that values efficiency and continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in financial reporting, payroll, and system enhancements, working closely with the Finance Director and wider team.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Running the weekly payroll, ensuring compliance and liaising with HMRC
  • Producing timely and accurate management account packs and discussing financials with business unit managers
  • Job profitability and margin reporting – working with the production team to assess costs and profitability
  • Overseeing transactional accounting, managing sales ledger, credit control, purchase ledger and bank reconciliations
  • Process and system improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency
  • Overseeing the statutory financial statements for each business unit
  • Liaising with auditors at year-end, addressing queries and ensuring adjustments are processed correctly
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Finance Manager / Management Accountant / Finance Director / Head of Finance / Accountant
  • Studying or qualified in ACCA / CIMA / ACA is desirable
  • Willingness to travel to Farnborough once a week
  • To be a problem-solver who’s happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved
