Role responsibilities
- Managing tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of privately owned businesses
- Advising clients on tax-efficient structuring, exit strategies and shareholder planning
- Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and managing compliance workflows
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and presenting them in a practical, business-friendly way
- Collaborating with colleagues across accounts, audit and advisory to deliver joined-up support
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients based on trust and commercial understanding
- Supporting the development of junior team members through guidance and review work
- Staying informed of tax legislation and contributing to knowledge sharing across the team

Candidate requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with a strong background in corporate or owner-managed business tax
- Experience delivering both compliance and advisory services to SME clients
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and current planning strategies
- Commercial awareness and the ability to align tax advice with clients’ long-term business goals
- Confident communicator with a collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues
- Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development
