Job Title: CMM Technician

Job Type: Contract, Till end 2025

Location: Titchfield

Rate: £17.39 per hour PAYE increasing to £17.91 after 12 weeks

Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-15:45, Friday 07:00-11:00

 

Overtime available and paid at premium.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a CMM Technician to join an exciting, progressive business within manufacturing. As a CMM Technician, you will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining our Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to accurately measure and inspect components. You will work closely with our production and engineering teams to ensure all parts are manufactured to precise specifications, documenting your findings and ensuring high standards of quality are maintained at all stages of production.

 

CMM Technician role:

Program and operate CMMs (both manual and automated) to measure components according to technical drawings and specifications.

Inspect machined parts and assemblies to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

Utilize measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) for additional verification and checks.

Log inspection data, document results, and create detailed reports for traceability and future reference.

Generate quality control documentation, including inspection reports, certificates of conformance, and non-conformance reports when necessary.

Liaise with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts. 

 

Required experience for this CMM Technician role

Previous experience in Programming and Operating CMM

Able to read and work from engineering drawings

Previous experience in manufacturing environment

Able to use measurement instruments such as verniers, calipers, micrometers

Proficient in Microsoft excel and word
