Your new companyA specialist manufacturer based near Fareham, with global operations and a well known customer base. They are at the forefront of their specialist field, continuously innovating to provide the best solutions for their clients' needs. Please note that this role is a Continental Shift Pattern, working 2 on 3 off, then 3 on 2 off, rotating across day and night shifts and also weekends. This means that in a typical 2 week period, you will work 7 shifts, and if you time your days off, you can take 2 days leave and be away from work for a week. Your new roleThis role is a mixture of operational support to the site (using FLT to move materials from Warehouse to Production areas), and also helping to interpret Production and Materials plans, to identify what raw materials are needed, and then coordinate the actions that will locate and move those items. You will help with Stock Checks, and raise alerts if stock on the system does not match what is on the shop floor. You will plan and control the unloading of inbound deliveries to site, check accuracy of those deliveries, and help with team management and shift handovers when required. What you'll need to succeedYou will have experience in a fast moving warehouse and / or manufacturing site. You will have FLT licence and be happy in a varied and hands-on role, communicating effectively with your team and other stakeholders. Some experience of small scale team management is useful, and you will enjoy problem solving and supporting the operational requirements of a site. This is a busy environment where plans need to be made and reviewed to meet the fast changing needs of their dynamic production environment. You will have good IT skills and be comfortable using a variety of systems, ideally including use of WMS and Excel.
