Are you passionate about supporting student learning and making a positive impact in the classroom? GSL Education are seeking Teaching Assistants with specialist SEN experience to work in a local school based in Fareham immediately. We have a number of schools looking for SEN Teaching Assistants on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting teachers and students, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in education while making a difference in the lives of young learners in Fareham!
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and facilitating group activities.
- Work with students who may require additional assistance due to learning difficulties, language barriers, or other special needs.
- Support the maintenance of a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting good behaviour and managing classroom dynamics.
- Help prepare teaching materials, set up equipment, and organise classroom resources to enhance learning experiences for students.
- Assist in the assessment of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and supporting students in achieving their learning goals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Understanding of special education needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
