We are seeking a Group Employee Experience Partner to join our People & Learning Department. This role is crucial in supporting managers across the Group to achieve their business objectives by providing expert advice on a range of people-related issues. The main thrust of this role involves focusing on employee relations, absence management, and staff wellbeing. The successful candidate will be a custodian of our internal promise to staff, apprentices, workers, and volunteers, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Work closely with managers to address and resolve people management issues, helping them to become successful leaders.
- Focus on employee relations, effectively managing absence, and enhancing staff wellbeing.
- Collaborate with the Group Employee Experience Lead and other partners to deliver a comprehensive HR service.
- Advise on and support the implementation of People policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current employment law.
- Engage in networking opportunities, acting as an ambassador for our work both internally and externally.
- Provide guidance on contractual terms, organisational policies, and consult on changes such as TUPE, redundancy, and redeployment.
- Support the production of quarterly KPIs and participate in well-being and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records using the HR system and liaise on system improvements to enhance functionality.
- Prioritise and plan workload to meet all deadlines and maintain high standards of confidentiality and data protection.
- Proven experience in HR, ideally within a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation including TUPE, Working Time Directive, The Equality Act, and the ACAS Code of Practice.
- Ability to coach, advise, and support managers and staff on a wide range of HR issues.
- Effective communication, consultation, and negotiation skills, capable of dealing with Unions and external agencies.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, proficient in IT and Microsoft Office, with the ability to maintain accurate records and write reports.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the team and organisation.
- Possession of a driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance for work usage.
