Contract Business Analyst

Location: Fareham, Hampshire. Hybrid working, 3 days per week in office.

Rate: £500- £550 per day

Contract Business Analyst required to join a renowned international retail and ecommerce organisation based in Fareham, Hampshire initially for 3 months. The successful contract Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting, analysing, and documenting requirements for a new Point of Sales (POS) solution. This role requires a deep understanding of retail operations and process, excellent analytic skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

It's essential the Business Analyst has strong retail industry experience working with POS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Elicitation: Engage with stakeholders, including retail staff, management, and IT teams, to gather detailed requirements for the new POS system.

Business Change: Understand current store procedures and working out what business change is required to enhance current business processes.

Documentation: Create comprehensive requirement documents, including use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams.

Analysis: Analyse business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the POS solution meets business needs.

Stakeholder Management: Facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure all stakeholder requirements are captured and understood.

Solution Design: Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and validate the POS solution, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.

Testing and Validation: Assist in the development of test plans and participate in system testing to ensure the solution meets the specified requirements.

Training and Support: Develop training materials and provide training sessions to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of the new POS system.

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering and documentation techniques.
  • Experience with POS systems, retail operations and business process.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and using JIRA software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
