Network Engineer - Technical Operations Team

Copello Global is partnering with a growing IT Operations company based in Fareham to recruit a Network Engineer for their expanding Technical Operations Team. This role offers a blend of onsite and remote support, where you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing network performance for a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for WAN, LAN, MPLS, routers, firewalls, Infosec, and VPN & Terminal services.
  • Monitor and manage system alerts and notifications, ensuring timely responses.
  • Perform network assessments and security audits to maintain robust infrastructure.
  • Administer and maintain the remote monitoring and management system, including responding to alerts, monitoring dashboards, and conducting system reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with project coordinators on larger team projects and manage escalations efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation in line with company processes.
  • Communicate with customers during projects and manage 3rd Line escalations.
  • Participate in internal or external patching outside of regular hours when required.

About You:

  • Proficient in deploying and supporting Juniper JNCIA and Cisco CCNA devices, especially firewalls.
  • Solid experience in live networking systems and support.
  • A full, clean driving license (Manual) is required for occasional client site visits.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with HP/Aruba equipment, particularly Wi-Fi and switches.
  • Experience with MPLS deployments and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of packet analysis and network management, including monitoring, security, and firmware upgrades.
  • Exposure to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) is a plus.
