Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Our partner, a prestigious manufacturing company, is actively seeking a highly skilled and accomplished Senior Manufacturing Engineer to play a crucial role in driving production processes and supporting future growth. This renowned organisation is an industry leader, known for its cutting-edge technology and unwavering commitment to delivering top-quality products. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be a key player within the manufacturing team, providing expert technical guidance to production and leading the introduction of new products, processes, and equipment, including the commissioning of machines.

The responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will include:

  • Strong leadership skills are essential as the engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations across the business and supports growth plans. Safety is a top priority, and the engineer will be responsible for implementing safe systems of work while championing LEAN principles to optimise efficiency and drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Managing the NPI process, from feasibility and planning to successful integration into production.
  • Planning and implementing efficient and error-free production systems, processes, and facilities that meet design specifications.
  • Conducting capacity planning to align manufacturing capabilities with business requirements.
  • Providing input on capital and manufacturing cost planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement by leading and identifying CI projects.
  • Collaborating closely with various teams, including Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, and Commissioning, to ensure successful coordination and achievement of company objectives.
  • Taking an active role in the commissioning of machines, including setting up and testing new equipment to ensure it meets required specifications and is ready for production. This includes working with suppliers, overseeing installation, and ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing/Production Engineering.
  • Successful Manufacturing Engineering experience, with a track record of implementing new manufacturing facilities, equipment, and processes.
  • Demonstrable expertise in conducting manufacturing feasibility and process planning for new product designs.
  • Strong data management and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in preparing equipment specifications and collaborating with equipment suppliers, manufacturing personnel, and commissioning teams.
  • Proficient in Lean manufacturing methods.
