Manufacturing Engineer - Associate/Trainee Level - Exciting Opportunity in the Aerospace industry!! Fareham - £28,000 up to £32,000

About the Company: This leading organisation specialises in making mechanical products that service the aerospace industry - these products are flight critical and so their engineering is complex, precise and YOU could be adding to the success of their company as they continue to onboard more engineers!

The Role: In this role, you will assist in the development and implementation of best practices for manufacturing engineering. This will include planning and executing production systems, problem-solving, determining manufacturing methods, working closely with design and providing technical support to the production team. You will have the opportunity to work on new product introductions, development, and prototyping, ensuring successful manufacturing processes.

  • Plan and implement safe, efficient production systems and processes.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to solve technical challenges.
  • Determine tooling and processes required for manufacture.
  • Compile manufacturing routings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Use 3D design software to assist in tooling and assembly aid design (training provided).
  • Assist with new product development and ensure smooth product introductions.

What You Need:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an engineering environment.
  • Some understanding of manufacturing and design tolerances for assembly and machining.
  • Good appreciation and understanding for technical documentation
  • Great communication skills
  • Ideas, drive and ambition
  • AutoCAD 2D or 3D design experience is an advantage.
