Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer

Salary: £40K-£45K

Location: Hampshire

Overview:

This role is focused on the commissioning, fault finding, servicing, repair, and maintenance of Air Conditioning, Heat Pump, and HVAC systems within a range of residential, commercial, industrial, and MoD environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high standards of technical support and customer service, contributing to the growth and technical excellence of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Duties:

      Commission, service, repair, and maintain a range of AC and heat pump systems.

Interpret building plans and specifications to assess AC system requirements.

Assist with the design, manufacture, and commissioning of HVAC control panels, leak detection systems, and other bespoke products.

Deliver technical support to internal Mechanical and Electrical departments.

Provide technical assistance for partnered AC brands both on-site and remotely.

Deliver high-level commissioning and service support as required.

Liaise with manufacturers and facilitate product training sessions (where applicable).

Generate detailed technical reports and validations.

Perform fault finding and diagnostics for both internal teams and manufacturer support.

Conduct warranty-related repairs and submit supporting documentation.

Compliance & Training:

      Assist with the maintenance of the company's F-Gas register and support progression towards Refcom Elite Membership.

Stay up to date with manufacturer training, including Samsung, Mitsubishi, Daikin, and others, and maintain installer scheme requirements.

Attend relevant courses to enhance technical skillsets.

Provide mentoring and technical training to trainees within the mechanical and electrical teams.

Additional Responsibilities:

      Support other disciplines when required and contribute to site surveys and client meetings.

Assist with the delivery of estimates, tenders, and technical enquiries across plumbing, heating, and M&E services.

Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, maintaining high standards of conduct and appearance.

Undertake other duties as directed by the line manager, within reasonable scope of the role.

Reporting Structure:

      Reports to: Line Manager, Business and Technical Development Manager, and Directors.

Responsible for: Junior engineers, allocated teams, and site activities relevant to the role.

Liaises with: Clients, suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, and internal colleagues.
