A leading engineering company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of innovative technology within the energy and manufacturing sectors. Key Responsibilities of theMechanical Design Engineer include:

• Produce detailed 3D models, technical drawings and assemblies using CAD software.
• Develop and refine designs to meet engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Work closely with production and R&D teams to optimise product development.
• Conduct design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Generate technical documentation and maintain accurate design records.
• Support prototype development and testing, making design modifications as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a CAD Design Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software).
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in producing technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
