Role Overview – Mechanical Engineer

Our leading global engineering client are on the look out for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team at their site based in Fareham. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of solutions to execute requirements for projects across the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Engineer

  • Provide assistance in developing engineering solutions to meet project requirements, including schedule, quality, and cost considerations, while adhering to company processes.
  • Work with internal and external customers, suppliers, and colleagues in mechanical, systems, and hardware disciplines both on-site.
  • Management and validation of requirements allocated to mechanical systems, according to industry standards.
  • Identifying work estimates and plans to support project managers. Proactively track progress, update plans, and adapt as projects develop.
  • Assist in the development apprentices to enhance their skills and increase department capacity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department, working within industry requirements.

Key Experience & Requirements - Mechanical Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully working on engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, processes, and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and quality
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and disciplines
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers
