Are you an experienced Engineer with a solid understanding of materials, design challenges and other engineering support activities within manufacturing? This Principal Engineer is working for a manufacturer in the Segensworth, Fareham. The company is around 160 employees strong and continuing their growth! This growth position is offering a Monday to Friday working week, 38 hours with an early finish on Fridays - the role is paying a competitive salary. While this is primarily a full-time role, we are open to discussing part-time options for the right candidate. Tell me More:

In this role, you will provide engineering support and analysis to Production working on Material Review Board (MRB) decisions, designreview activities and approving ofengineering documents. You will analyse products to ensure their integrity, specifications and performance standards are met. You will provide technical rationale and substantiation for alternative materials and treatments due to supply chain shortages and obsolescence as well as providing engineering support to internal and external customers.

You will need:

  • 10+ years of experience within mechanical manufacturing.
  • Understanding of mechanical manufacturing - machining, assembly, treatments.
  • Exceptional Problem Solving experience
  • HNC Qualification or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent cross team communication
