JOB TITLE: REFRIGERATION COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

LOCATION: FAREHAM/OFF SITE LOCATIONS

The Role: To be responsible for the efficient, safe and timely build of Maritime & Land plants and compressors to build drawings and specifications. To be the Commissioning Engineer across all company aspects of Engineering offering advice to junior members of staff, ensuring quality standards are maintained & adhered to. The CE is to be the lead on jobs in the absence of the SCE. This position reports directly to the Production Manager

Day To Day Responsibilities:

  • Carry out build programmes of Maritime & Land plants and compressors.
  • Respond to call outs as directed by the PM
  • To provide repairs/servicing/installation & commissioning of equipment’s both locally and worldwide as required.
  • Quality Inspection and testing of outgoing equipment
  • Advise of procedure changes
  • Produce production reports of completed works/call outs
  • Assist with Quality inspection of incoming parts from goods inwards for builds to ensure correct quantity received, part number/description and correct quality standard
  • Producing project technical documentation as required
  • Customer facing promoting Lightfoot Defence capabilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for the Building D2
  • Deputise for SCE as required
  • Carry out any other duties deemed relevant by the PM
  • The post holder may be required to work out of hours/overtime occasionally
  • The post holder may be required to travel within and outside of the UK in support of company projects

Essential Qualifications:

  • Formal engineering apprenticeship or equivalent engineering experience
  • F-GAS Qualification

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good interpersonal communication and organisational skills
  • Proven track record of the ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines
  • At least 10 years Engineering experience
  • The CE is authorised and required to interact frequently and effectively with all company staff, customers, suppliers and with external agencies involved with all company business. This communication can be by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
