Our client, a global engineering leader based in Fareham, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their aerospace team. This is your opportunity to tackle complex projects, delivering smart, practical solutions that make a real impact.

• Design and develop engineering solutions, balancing schedule, quality, and cost while sticking to company processes.
• Work with customers, suppliers, and teammates in mechanical, systems, and hardware disciplines to explain and refine your designs.
• Manage mechanical system requirements, validate them against industry standards, and prove compliance through testing, inspection, or analysis.
• Build work estimates and plans, keep projects on track, and adapt as needed.
• Mentor apprentices, interns, grads, and junior engineers—sharing your expertise to grow the team while leading by example.
• Drive improvements in processes, tools, and workflows, keeping everything sharp and compliant.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on leading projects.
• A proven ability to take projects from concept to completion.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Sharp problem-solving skills with an eye for quality.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
• Experience guiding less-experienced engineers.
