We are seeking a proactive and communicative Call Handler to join our client’s team on a short-term temporary basis. The role will be full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm and will be fully office based.
This role involves managing calls and actively reaching out to clients to assist them with their tax returns. This is not a sales position but requires excellent communication skills to ensure clients are signed up and have provided all the documentation required.
No experience within a financial or tax position is required for this role as you will not be advising on any tax practice. The main skills required will be customer service and/or call centre experience.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Handle inbound calls and manage outbound calls to clients, not for sales but to assist with tax return submissions.
- Capture and record client information accurately in a web-based client database during calls.
- Ensure all client interactions are logged with detailed notes for future reference.
- Provide clients with information and answer queries related to their tax returns (not providing tax/financial advice)
- Coordinate with the tax team to pass on complex tax-related questions and ensure clients receive timely callbacks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable with phone-based interaction.
- Ability to capture and record detailed information accurately.
- Experience in customer service or similar roles.
- Good questioning skills to extract and note essential information from discussions.
- Familiarity with using web-based client databases is advantageous but not essential.
