Role: Test Technician

Location: Fareham

Duration: 12 months initially

Rate: 22 per hour PAYE

Inside IR35

The Production Test Technician completes work according to instructions, specifications and procedures. Conducts a variety of verification tests and calibration on electronic and electromechanical equipment with the use of a range of common electronics measurement equipment and specialist type test equipment.

Key Activities

  • Sets up and operates equipment to test/calibrate units/subassemblies as per instructions, specifications and procedures.
  • Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry to component level
  • Provides detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering.
  • Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Carries out production/repair/assembly work as required within multiple departments on this site.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment and follows company safety policies.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work additional hours as necessary on evenings/weekends during periods of increased demand.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
  • Experience working in high-voltage environments, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing project requirements.
