Quality Inspector - £33,461 to £34,473 per annum

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a leading manufacturer, who is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to ensure top-tier quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment and uphold exceptional housekeeping standards.
  • Drive and sustain continuous improvement aligned with company standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T references.
  • Conduct inspections across the site, ensuring compliance with procedures and work instructions.
  • Measure and inspect incoming supplies to verify conformance with drawings and purchase orders.
  • Support quality-related investigations and assist other departments as required.
  • Prepare First Article reports and monitor statistical process control data.
  • Investigate non-conforming products using precision measuring equipment.
  • Program and operate coordinate measuring machines and specialist inspection tools.
  • Authorise and sign off products as acceptable with approved identification stamps.

Your Experience:

  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or specialist inspection equipment.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with First Article Inspection reporting.
  • Proven experience investigating and resolving quality issues, including non-conformance management.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of Aerospace standards
  • Experience conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Basic familiarity with ERP systems for tracking and logging quality data.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Starting salary of £33,461 during a 12-week probation period, increasing to £34,473 after completion.
  • Core shift hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 3:45pm, Friday 7:00am - 11:00am.
