We currently have an exciting opportunity for a flexible, passionate, dedicated and skilled Director of Safeguarding.

Duties:

  • As the Director of Safeguarding, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and providing inspirational leadership to the college’s safeguarding and welfare functions.
  • You will lead the development and implementation of safeguarding policies, ensuring that the college meets its statutory and regulatory obligations while fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.
  • The role requires a proactive approach to safeguarding, child protection, and learner wellbeing, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation to drive continuous improvement across the college.

Skills/Experience:

  • Proven consistent delivery of success of delivering improving student outcomes over consecutive curriculum years.
  • Detailed understanding of OFSTED, SAR processes and quality inspection regimes.
  • Confident understanding of learning support strategies and associated pedagogy, best practice and statutory requirements.
  • Proven ability to challenge, mentor & coach for improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Experience of developing plans and policies for the delivery of high-quality educational services.
  • Experience of driving and achieving excellent educational performance and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • To hold a first degree or equivalent.
  • Teaching qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
