Monday - Thursday 8.00 - 4.30 Friday 8.00 - 1.30 37 Hours
Job Purpose
To provide day-to-day procurement services to Sales & operations Manager. Collate/upload/process data into the MRP System (OrderWise - training provided). Be part of an integral team delivering supply chain solutions, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and relationship skills supporting the business with key suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Raise and process RFQ’s / RFI’s to suppliers
- Raise PO’s to suppliers
- Ensure PO’s are raised against correct financial authority
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers
- Update MRP system with data relevant to compliance, Safety Data Sheets, shelf life and export controls
- Process first level checks for supplier invoices to PO’s on OrderWise
- Follow process for obsolescence management
- Collate customer compliance information for the supply of spares
- Collate information to update and review approved suppliers list
- Run PO acknowledgement reports
- Answer and direct customer telephone calls
- Booking in stock on MRP system
- Run late and upcoming delivery reports
- Chase late deliveries with suppliers
- Liase with sales admin when necessary
Qualifications
Education
- CIPS Level 2 or 3 (or working towards)
- GCSE Level Grade C/4 English & Maths
- 2 Years minimum buying experience
Skills
- Be able to work on own initiative
- MS Office skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal format
